Iron-on Patch Instructions

Prepare Your Garment
Lay your clean garment flat on a smooth, heat-resistant surface.

  1. Set Your Iron
Turn your iron on, ensuring there’s no water inside and the steam setting is off. Set the temperature to 300°F or the appropriate setting for your garment's fabric type.
  2. Position Your Patch
Place your woven patch (design facing up) on the desired spot on the garment. Cover the patch with a thin cotton cloth to protect it. A clean t-shirt works.
  3. Heat It Up
Press the iron onto the covered patch area, applying firm pressure in circular motions for 10–30 seconds. Let the patch cool for a moment.
  4. Secure the Backside
Turn the garment inside-out. Place the iron directly on the area behind the patch, or use a thin cloth to prevent scorching. Apply firm pressure with the iron for 10–30 seconds. Allow it to cool.
  5. Check Your Work
Inspect the patch to ensure it's fully adhered. If needed, repeat steps 4–5 for a stronger bond.

Pro Tip:
A little patience goes a long way! Let the patch cool completely before wearing or washing your garment. Add a stitch if washing regularly. The patch will begin to scorch at 320°F

Applying Patches to Hats

We do not recommend applying a heat seal patch to a hat with a home iron. While possible, it will be complicated, to say the least, to secure the entire patch. We use iron-on backing to tack the patch down for sewing.

Applying Stickers for Longest Life

Our stickers are UV coated for maximum durability. They will go on clean and are easily to remove once ready.

That said, be sure to properly clean your surface of any dirt or oil before applying. Applying from the center of the sticker, out, could help placement.

Uneven or textured surfaces will sometimes let water beneath the adhesive and will eventually cause the sticker to fail.
